 Script 

john sings: well cause ever body heard about the bird 

(as music plays over) 

will: you done yet as he looks at john (as you can hear his normal voice) 

john: fine what 

will: dude your chores you have to do them 

john: ok what do we got on there  

will: well??? 

montage begins as they do chores until dog walking 

will: ok I must do two more inside you just got to walk blue the dog 

john: alright  

(john leaves with the dog they get far until the dog runs off) 

john: what the 

(as a figure approaches then john turns) 

john: huh followed by muffled screams

Final Script 

The screen opens to a wide shot of a hammock with the protagonist laying inside 

john listens to a song as the screen starts to circle him  

(as music plays over)  

As it starts to distance away from john, will approaches coming to remind john of his chores 

will: you done yet (as he looks at john) 

john: fine what (as he turns of his music) 

will: dude your chores you have to do them (in a slightly agitated tone) 

john: (john gets out of the hammock) ok what do we got on there  

will: well???  

montage begins as they do chores until will in the middle of sleeping to sweep 

(a ominous sound is heard and a shadow is seen in the coridor) 

Will disturbed, turns but sees nothing out of the ordinary  

Will: anyone there? 

(silence)  

Will: all the expensive stuff is not here 

The sound plays again but closer to will the figure appears and is not spotted by will  

Will in his unease leaves to check on what john is doing  

Will: john! 

Will: john did you 

Will interrupts himself with the shock of seeing john playing a videogame 

Will: what are you doing! 

John: do have to explain what a videogame is  

Will: dude the chores  

John: relax you always do them anyways 

will: ok I just do two more inside you just got to walk the dog 

john: alright fine  

(john leaves with the dog they get far until the dog runs off) 

john: what the 

(as a figure approaches then john turns) 

john: huh (followed by muffled screams)

  Changes   to   project   and  why During the development of the film, several changes were made to both the plan and the script  to  improve the story, pacing, and tension. In the  initial  plan , the film focused mostly on comedy, with the horror element only appearing at the very end when the main character is attacked by the stalker. While this idea  established  the basic plot, it did not create much suspense throughout the film. Because of this, the plan was adjusted to introduce horror elements earlier while  keeping  the comedic tone between the two main characters. One of the main changes in the  final plan  was increasing the amount of comedy between John and Will. Their personalities were made more distinct, with Will being focused and responsible while John is lazy and distracted. Genre research part 2

  Scream- 1    The  opening scene of Scream (1996), directed by Wes Craven,  immediately   establishes  the conventions of the horror/slasher genre while also challenging them. The film opens with  a seemingly ordinary  teenage girl, Casey Becker (played by Drew Barrymore), alone in her suburban home, which quickly becomes the setting for suspense and terror.     Camera Shots, Angles, Movements, Focus, and Framing     The scene uses a mixture of medium shots and close-ups to create intimacy and tension. At first, medium shots of Casey in her kitchen  establish  a normal, safe environment. As the phone calls become threatening, the camera shifts to tighter close-ups,  especially  Casey’s face, emphasizing her fear and vulnerability.  Shallow  focus is used to blur the background, isolating her and suggesting danger may be lurking out of sight.   Location scouting   The chosen location works well because it is quiet, private, and easy to control for filming. A backyard is practical for production as it limits background noise and interruptions.  The natural  lighting  gives  the team  a general time to meet and record   likely planned  to shoot during the day to avoid needing complex lighting equipment. The fence and enclosed space also frame the characters nicely, making the setting visually contained and focused.
